Sri Lanka could not make a good start in Bangladesh. They lost by 12 runs in a close match to Zimbabwe in the second game of the series. Losing wickets at crucial stages let themselves down on Wednesday.

Bangladesh are potentially ahead of Sri Lanka nowadays. Bangladesh levelled 1-1 in the three-match series against them in 2017. That time Chandika Hathurusingha was Bangladesh’s coach. Hathurusingha will now be making plans against Tigers.

Bangladesh are most likely to go with the same combination which they had against Zimbabwe. Anamul Haque, Sunzamul Islam will retain their places in the team after being recalled. Shakib Al Hasan will continue to bat at no.3.

Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews’ is uncertain for tomorrow’s match with hamstring issues. A decision will be taken on match day. If he misses out, Niroshan Dickwella will replace him with Thisara Perera taking over the captaincy.

Bangladesh (likely XI): Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah Riyad, Nasir Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza (captain), Sunzamul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain

Sri Lanka (likely XI): Upul Tharanga, Kusal Perera, Dinesh Chandimal (wk), Angelo Mathews/Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Mendis, Asela Gunaratne, Thisara Perera, Wanindu Hasaranga, Suranga Lakmal, Akila Dhananjaya, Dushmantha Chameera
