To be added, the hard-hitting batsman is also fined 20 lakh takas and suspended for six months from domestic cricket. If he repeats this act he might be banned for lifetime.
During the last round of NCL in Rajshahi, a fan teased at Sabbir. Sabbir took permission from on-field umpires to go out of the field. He called the fan to him and made bodily harm behind the side-screen. Later on, he threatened the match referee about complaining to the broad. He even showed frustration when the match officials called him for hearing.
Sabbir’s verdict was scheduled to be given on January 1, year 2018’s first day. Reporters started to gather in front of BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon’s office, BEXIMCO. After a long wait, the BCB boss arrived and confirmed about Sabbir’s punishment.
Sabbir won’t be able to talk part in Bangladesh Cricket League and Dhaka Premier League this year. But he still will be eligible to play international cricket for Bangladesh. Currently he is in Bangladesh’s 32-member preliminary squad, which is having camp ahead of tri-series and Sri Lanka series.
