Sabbir’s injury is not grave: BCB physio

Recently outcaste national team cricketer Sabbir Rahman hurt his right hand thumb during the practice sessions at the Shere Bangla national cricket stadium.

The torn muscle of the finger bleed heavily on the spot. Sabbir was immediately taken under primary treatment and he returned to batting practice at that time but the finger started bleeding once again.

Later Bangladesh Cricket Board physiotherapist Dr. Debashish Roy Chowdhury informed the nature of the injury was not so grave.

“I haven’t come to know anything grave about Sabbir’s recent injury. I would know if something wrong is there,” he said.

Sabbir has recently been punished on disciplinary grounds after physically assaulting an under aged spectator.

BCB announced a primary squad for the forthcoming Tri-nation series and bilateral series against Sri Lanka in the previous month. The final squad is reported to be announced on 7th of January.

The Tri-nation series comprised of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will start from January 15 in the home of cricket Mirpur Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Host Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the opening match of the series.

Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in a two Test series after the Tri-nation series. The first Test is scheduled to start from 31st of January this year.

There will also be a two match T20I series played between these two countries. The first T20I match will take place on February 15. 1 of 1
