Team members confident upon coaching of Mashrafe-Shakib duo

In the vacancy of a head coach for the national team, two experienced campaigners Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan are now looking after the team mates in the practice camp for the forthcoming assignments.

'Shakib, Mashrafe will act as coaches'

How it feels like for other members of the team? Opener Imrul Kayes, who has long been playing with the ODI skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, is considering the guidance of team mates rather positively.

While talking to one of the leading dailies, Imrul Kayes said, “Mashrafe is always a wonderful leader; he enchants us with encouraging words all the time. He always beside of everyone, whether he performs well or not.”

“And Shakib is an experienced mate; he shares his experience of playing outside the country with us which facilitates our understanding. This ushers positivity in Bangladesh cricket. The young guns have many things to learn from Shakib,” Imrul added.

Like other senior cricketers in the team, Imrul Kayes is also confident of bringing good results in the forthcoming Tri-nation series and bilateral series against Sri Lanka.

“I don’t think we have to think too much if we could play as per our ability in home condition. Yes, it is true that Hathurusingha knows much about us. But the important thing is to implement everything well in the field,” Imrul Kayes said.

The Tri-nation series consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will begin from 15th of January at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. 1 of 1
