Uncapped Mavuta and Murray named in Zimbabwe ODI squad

Brandon Mavuta, the 20-year old leg-spinning all-rounder, and Ryan Murray, the 19-year old wicket keeper-batsman, have earned their maiden call-ups in the ODI squad of Zimbabwe Cricket team for the upcoming tri-series.

Brendan Taylor and Kyle Jarvis will be representing Zimbabwe in ODIs for the first time since they accepted Kolpak deals.

The tri-series, involving hosts Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, will kick-off from 15 January in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ahead of this mission, 15-member Zimbabwe cricket team have been announced on Sunday where lots of significant changes have been occurred.

Despite registering first ever series victory over Sri Lanka in their last tour, seven cricketers from that side have failed to receive their call-ups and being dropped from the squad of tri-series. In the meantime, two experienced campaigners- Brendan Taylor and Kyle Jarvis, have made a comeback in the side.

To be noted, the inclusion of Taylor and Kyle will surely boost the side during the assignment in Bangladesh. While their sweet memories of 3-2 series win over Sri Lanka will act as their excessive power.

It is to inform that, Zimbabwe will reach in Dhaka on 10 January. They will feature in a 50-over warm-up match against BCB XI on 13 January prior to the tri-series. After that, they will start their tri-series campaign by facing hosts Bangladesh from 15 January.
