Without captain Shakib Al Hasan in the den and including charged up young guns in the team, Bangladesh selectors tried to wash off the gloominess incurred from the tri-nation series and later in the just completed Test series against Sri Lanka.
One of the five new faces selected in the squad for the forthcoming T20I series is 18 years old Afif Hossain Dhrubo, the appealing all-rounder afresh from Under-19 World Cup experience told he will deliver the best of him once he would grip the chance in the national team.
Afif said, “It feels great to be included in the national team. If I will be included in the playing eleven, I’ll definitely contribute my hundred percent.”
Afif Hossain was among the brightest young stars in the just completed Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand.
Playing six matches, the left handed batsman scored 276 runs. He scored four half centuries out of six matches in the tournament.
Besides that, Afif claimed 8 wickets with right hand off spin bowling that ultimately paved his way to be selected in the national squad.
