Quetta sweep big win over Islamabad

The outcome of the ninth match of the Pakistan Super League 2018 went to Quetta Gladiators; on Wednesday night, Quetta Gladiators defeated Islamabad United by 6 wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium in Sharjah.

The paltry 134 run target thrown by Islamabad United after they were sent to bat first was toppled by the opposition at ease losing 4 wickets and with near about three overs to spare.

Quetta bowling department performed uniquely to restrict Islamabad into a below par total. All the six bowlers who were handed over ball by captain Sarfraz Ahmed claimed one wicket each except Mohammad Nawaz.

Bangladesh batting all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad played for Quetta Gladiators, contributed taking the catch of Islamabad United captain and veteran performer Misbah-ul-Haq.

Misbah was the second highest scorer of the team before he was comfortably caught by Mahmudullah Riyad in the mid-wicket region off the bowling of Shane Watson. His 22 came off 25 deliveries striking a single four and a six.

In reply Quetta Gladiators broomed the total batted 17.1 overs; they had six batsmen yet to bat in the process.

Kevin Pietersen scored highest 48 runs playing 34 deliveries with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Out of four wickets Quetta Gladiators lost, Steven Finn captured 3 of them conceding 35 runs in 4 overs.
