We have to make plans happen in the field: Soumya

Just after few days later, Nidahas trophy will be underway and due to the poor recent form specially in the T20 format, Bangladesh can not be be tagged as favorites.

India have rested their senior and some of the regular players for the series while Sri Lanka will miss many crucial players including their captain Angelo Mathews due to injury. But Bangladesh will see both the teams equally and will have different plans for them.

Left hand opener Soumya Sarkar said in a press conference on Monday: “We will have different plans for both the teams. We have to makes that plans happen in the field. Every team is different. So everything will be arranged according to that.”

Soumya also denied to admit they are a weak side in T20: “If we think we are a weak side even before playing, then it will effect our play. If we can perform well in the field, we will win. No matter which team is in which position, we have to think about only us and we have to make sure that we do our job correctly.”

Soumya targets 200: “Recently, we scored 190 against Sri Lanka. In that match, batsmen couldn’t play well in the death overs. I hope if we can start well in the beginning, middle order batsman can deliver and the big hitters can play cameos, then we will be able to score 200 or more.” 1 of 1
