Being out of the national team schedules for long, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza played all the matches of DPL this year. On Monday, he claimed three wickets against Khelaghor Shomaj Kollyan Shomiti to register the record of taking highest number of wickets in a year in the history of the Dhaka Premier League.
Playing for Abahani Limited, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza led his team towards many success. So far, he captured 38 wickets which is the highest number of wicket taking in a season in DPL. The previous record was done by pacer Abu Hider Rony.
In Monday’s match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Abahani Limited bat first and scored 241 runs in 46.4 overs.
In reply, Khelaghor Shomaj Kollyan Shomiti were bundled out scoring 114 runs in 27.3 overs.
