Watch Shakib’s bowling performance against MI

In the 7th match of the 2018’s Indian Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman faced each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Shakib, who played seven years for Kolkata Knight Riders is featuring Sunrisers Hyderabad for the first time while Mustafizur is playing for the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Interestingly, Fizz’s previous team was the team Shakib is now playing for and the cutter master also won his first IPL trophy with the men in orange in his very first season.

Mustafizur’s third season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with his new team Mumbai Indians didn’t start off too well, but he came back strongly in the second game and made it quite a memorable one despite a last ball heartbreak for the defending champions yet again.

The cutter master bowled 4 overs and only conceded 24 runs with an economy of 6.00. He picked up 3 wickets including two in an over in the 18th over of the game which almost took Mumbai Indians over the line.

On the other hand, after a good performance in the first match, Shakib had a off day at the office as he conceded 34 runs in his 4 overs and managed to pick up only 1 wicket. With the bat, the stage was set for Shakib to take Sunrisers over the line but in the end he failed to do so as departed for 12 runs from 12 balls.

Mustafizur bowled to his national team-mate Shakib in the 11th over the innings and the number one all-rounder picked up 8 runs in the 4 balls he faced including a boundary.

Despite having a better day than the number one all-rounder, Mustafizur’s side faced their second loss in a row after Ben Cutting failed to defend 11 runs in the last over.
