Right handed opener Jos Buttler showed his magic once again in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he led Rajasthan Royals from the front with a match winning 94 against Mumbai Indians on Sunday.
Batting first at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the home side could not post a big total in the scoreboard after 20 overs, despite a brilliant 87-run opening stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis. Although the opening duo kept an over 8 runs per over run rate in the first 10 overs of the innings which made Mumbai fans hopeful for a big total, the middle order failed to deliver according to the expectations. Opener Evin Lewis was the top scorer with a destructive 60 off 42 balls in Mumbai’s 168 runs innings.
In reply, Rajasthan Royals chased down the target very comfortably depending on Buttler’s blistering 94 off just 53 balls. His innings was consist of nine boundaries and five over boundaries. Ajinkya Rahane played a steady 37 runs innings to support Buttler from another side. Apart from them, Sanju Samson scored a quick 26 off just 12 balls, hitting two fours and sixes.
