First unofficial Test moved to ZACS

Bad weather in Cox’s Bazar has forced the first four-day match between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka to be moved to Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The series will kick off on June 26.

The first of the three unofficial Tests was scheduled to be played at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar. But poor weather conditions have compelled Bangladesh Cricket Board to change the match venue.

The second four-dayer will played at the SKICS Academy Ground from July 3. The third unofficial Test will be at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, which will also host the three one-dayers

Bangladesh A squad has been already named for the first match. Mosaddek Hossain has been named captain. Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Abu Hider Rony and Nazmul Islam Apu are other national team members in the squad. First-class veteran Tushar Imran has finally got a call-up.

Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka A team are expected to land in Bangladesh on Saturday.

Bangladesh A squad: Mosaddek Hossain (captain), Shadman Islam, Soumya Sarkar, Mizanur Rahman, Afif Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Shariful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nayeem Hasan, Rishad Ahmed, Saif Hassan, Zakir Hasan, Tushar Imran, Nazmul Islam Apu, Abu Hider Rony.

Sri Lanka A squad: Dimuth Karunaratne (captain, first two four-dayers only), Danushka Gunathilaka, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ashan Priyanjan, Charith Asalanka, Dasun Shanaka, Shammu Ashan, Manoj Sarathchandra, Prabath Jayasuriya, Lakshan Sandakan, Nishan Peiris, Shehan Madushanka, Nisala Tharaka, Dilesh Gunaratne.
