Though the Indian Cricket Team on top at the moment, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have not cleared the payments for the players. Recently, the BCCI had announced the hike for the players promoting a few to the A+ category as well. However, BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary has come out in apology over the delay in remittance of the payments.

“Yes, the contracts are with me. If the House approves the revised pay structure tomorrow, I will sign it. In case they don’t, my hands are tied. Any policy decision needs the approval of General Body and I can’t break the law,” BCCI’s acting secretary Chaudhary said.

“I personally feel guilty that the players are not getting their remuneration on time. I have no clue what will be the decision of the General Body. But the proposals were there with the finance committee for a long time. The copy of contract has been sent to the secretary after the players have signed,” he added.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s compensation claim of USD 70 million for not honoring the agreement for bilateral series will be discussed. BCCI is unlikely to pay any compensation to the PCB.

The Indian team will fly to Ireland to play two-match T20I series. The T20I’s will be played on June 27 and 29 at the Village, Dublin. After the completion of T20I series against Ireland, India will travel to England for the full-fledged series. The India’s tour of England will begin with three-match T20I series before playing 3 ODI’s and 5 Test matches. 1 of 1
