Five Bangladesh bowlers took the hold of six opposition wickets that fall with Panna Ghosh claiming 2 for 15 in her 4 overs quota.
Batting at six down position, Veru Frank was the highest scorer for Papua New Guinea; she is one of the three batsmen who could touch the double figure mark. T Ruma got 23 while K Jhon claimed 15.
The chase was rather plain for Bangladesh as the opening pair Shahmina Sultana and Ayasha Rahman configured 41 runs in the first wicket.
Ayasha was the first to go, she scored 15 off 17 with the help of 2 fours. Papua New Guinea bowlers had to wait another five overs to bring the second Bangladesh wicket back in the pavilion.
Other opener Shahmina Sultana, scoring a 36 ball 35 (4×5) departed when the team was 22 runs away from the victory target.
