Sohan hopes to continue good form

Bangladesh has been outclassed by Windies in the first match of ongoing three-match Test series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Friday.  After getting all-out for 43 in the first innings, their poor performance continued in the second innings too as they were folded to 144 in their second innings.

Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan was the only player to give a fight against the Windies bowler in the match. He was impressive with the bat in the second innings and picked up his maiden Test fifty in the second match of his Test career.

Meanwhile, Sohan who scored 64 off 74 balls in the innings after hitting six fours and two sixes, said he would try to continue this form in the upcoming match too. He is determined to carry on the momentum that he picked up through hitting a few boundaries.

I will try to carry on the momentum that I picked up while batting in the second innings through playing quite a few deliveries the middle as it had given me the confidence to look forward,” he was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

The 24-year old cricketer also has revealed they have already spoken at length about their batting debacle in the opening Test and tried to find a way to overcome the mistakes.

”We have spoken about our batting debacle and it was disappointing. I think we batted badly in the first innings and we lost quite a few wickets early in the second innings,” he added. 1 of 1
