The former South African cricketer AB de Villiers stunned the cricketing world by retiring from International cricket. He was playing the best cricket of his career after making a comeback earlier this year in Tests against India.
He was also certain about playing in the next year World Cup but his retirement left his IPl future in doubt. However, finally, De Villiers himself has opened up on whether he will be available or not for the next year IPL.
AB de Villiers has been the backbone of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He has single-handedly won many matches for his team while destroying the opposition’s bowling attack. His one-handed catch against Sunrisers Hyderabad was considered as one of the best catches of IPL ever.
In a recent interview with io.co.za, AB de Villiers clarified his future plans. He is keen to help the youngsters while playing for Titans and RCB. He also said that he will continue playing in the T20 tournaments for the next few years.
“I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans, and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time,” he said.
“There are some offers on the table from around the world, but it will be nice to wake up and wonder what to do; to be normal,” he smiled while saying.
