Abbas ruled out of third Test against New Zealand

Pakistan have been hit with a major blow as fast bowler Mohammad Abbas is set to miss the deciding Test match against New Zealand due to shoulder injury.

Mohammad Abbas
Abbas’ injury curse continues and he is likely to miss the upcoming South Africa tour too according to the reports so far. Considering his recent form and his performance against Australia, it will be a massive blow for the men in green.

The fast bowler played with painkillers in the second Test where Pakistan clinched a dominating win to level the series. But a shoulder scan on Wednesday has prompted fears about the nature of the injury. According to the assesments so far,  he could be out for anywhere between three weeks and four months.

It would be really unfortunate for the energetic fast bowler if he misses the upcoming South Africa tour as he will miss the opportunity to be up against South Africa speed star Dale Steyn, who predicted that Abbas will be the no. 1 Test bowler very soon after his tremendous show against Australia.
