Abdur Razzak's super bowling leads Sheikh Jamal to win against Partex

Abdur Razzak played in the national team in 2014 for the last time. Since then, he has not been seen in Bangladesh’s national squad in any home and away tour.

The prolific spinner has been showing his skills in domestic cricket. In Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, Razzak is leading his team Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club from the front in almost every counter of the season.

He took 16 wickets in five matches and became the highest wicket taker in the Premier League till now.

On Sunday, in the match against Partex Sporting Club, the experienced left-hander spinner took five wickets giving away just 22 runs.

On the day of Razzak’s magic, his team Sheikh Jamal also left the field with victory. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club won against Partex Sporting Club by three wickets in the fifth round of match. It is their fourth win in the league.

With the win Abdur Razzak’s team came up to number three position in the point table. On the other hand, it is the fifth defeat for Partex, who came from the first division to participate in the Premier League.

Partex, who won the toss and elected to bat first at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah became all out in 46.3 overs scoring 201 runs. Sheikh Jamal took their victory by seven wickets in the match.

Sheikh Jamal’s batting was not bad at the start of the match. Fazle Mahmood and Mahbubul Karim added 63 runs in the opening partnership. Fazle 26 and Mahbubul scored highest with 42 runs.

On this day, no batsman of Sheikh Jamal could make a big innings; Sohag Gazi made 31, Ilias Sunny 23 and Tanvir Haider scored an unbeaten 34 to ensure Sheikh Jamal’s victory.

Partex’s Mamun Hossain took three wickets. Besides, Nuruzzaman Masum and Razibul Islam got one wicket each.

Opener Jonny Talukdar scored 65 runs for the first wicket. Among others, Sajjad Hossain 26, Irfan Shukur 19, Indian batswoman Paras Dogra 30 and Rajibul Islam scored 15.
