Young Afghanistan off-spin sensation Mujeeb Ur Rahman is all set to start new innings in his life as he got engaged. The news was confirmed by a journalist M.Ibrahim Momand of his country.

The 18-year-old cricketer’s contribution to the Afghanistan cricket team has never been in doubt. Despite being so young, he has carved out a reputation of himself as one of the best spinners in the world now.

He can easily trouble the batsmen across the world with relative ease. With traditional off-spins including leg-spin and googlies, he has developed a deadly armoury to his arsenal that can mount immense pressure on the opposition batting brigade. He has by far been one of the best bowlers when it comes to delivering the punch with the new ball more often than not.

The team utilised his unique ability to better effect and which is why he has been used by the captain early in the innings. His creativity was clearly witnessed when he bagged 7/19 against Bangladesh U19 as he went on to register the joint second-best best bowling figures in all Youth ODIs.

It’s because of the stellar performance that earned him get a deal from Bangladesh Premier League side Comilla Victorians which he was just 16 years old. He continued his prowess in Afghanistan as he helped the team register a historic triumph at the Under-19 Asia Cup. He bagged a 5-wicket haul to steer his team beat Pakistan in the final. Previously, he picked up a 6-wicket-haul against Nepal in the semi-final clash.

He also showcased his mettle in the 2018 U19 World Cup as Afghanistan tackled all the challenges to make it to the semifinal. His consistent performances helped him earn a lucrative Indian Premier League contract.

Kings XI Punjab spent a whopping INR 4 crore to rope him last year as he became just the third Afghanistan player after the likes of Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi to play in IPL.

The journalist M.Ibrahim Momand took to his official Twitter platform to congratulate the Afghanistan spinner on a memorable day as his caption read: “Off spin sensation @Mujeeb_R88 got engaged. Congratulations bro and wish u best of luck for ur new & exciting life ahead.”
