Rising Afghanistan has cart out another breathtaking performer, the teenage Mujeeb Ur Rahman, caught the eyes of many in his debut match of the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab.

The 17 year old already being phrased as a mystery spinner who can deliver weapons both of a leg and off spinner.

Against Delhi Daredevils in the opening encounter of IPL 2018, Mujeeb took 2 wickets for 28 runs bowling 4 overs.

Praising the youngster, Virender Sehwag said, “He is a fine young spinner and will definitely make a mark in IPL. When Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis and West Indies bowler Sunil Narine had arrived on the international cricket scene they were seen as mystery spinners and made an impact. He doesn’t understand Hindi or English that well, but we will take out a way or two and create a rapport with him. The tournament is quite long and he has time to adjust.”

Making his international debut at the age of 16, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was bought by Kings XI Punjab for a whooping RS 4 crore.

Mujeeb has had performed greatly in the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand helping his country to reach into the semifinals. In the just completed World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe, Mujeeb snapped 16 wickets in seven matches.
