Afghanistan to host West Indies in India

Afghanistan are all set to host West Indies for one Test, three T20Is and three ODIs in India during November 2019.

Afghanistan had a winless run in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as they were dominated by all the teams in the league stage even though they had some close matches.

After the exit from ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced their home fixture against West Indies which include one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is. Afghanistan will host the series in their second home India.

The one-off Test would mark Afghanistan’s third appearance in the longest format. They were beaten on debut by India in 2018 but came up trumps against Ireland in 2019.

According to the FTP, West Indies are scheduled to stay in India even after their series against Afghanistan so they can play the hosts in a series that includes three T20Is and three ODIs. Before the series, Afghanistan will play a one-off Test against Bangladesh and tri-nation T20I series including Zimbabwe.
