Afridi fancies to have Indian cricketers in PSL
Former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi said he believes Pakistan Super League (PSL) organizers should invite Indian cricketers to play in the biggest T20 carnival of the country.
Having known that Indian cricketers are contracted not to play in the foreign leagues, Afridi said, “But we should at least try to invite them for the PSL. I know it is difficult that they will come as they only play in the Indian Premier League. But we should invite them for the next edition of the PSL.”
Afridi’s team Karachi Kings failed to reach into the final of the Pakistan Super League 2018 after losing to Peshawar Zalmi in the second eliminator, said having increasing number of foreign cricketers to play in PSL is exciting.
He said, “It is a very big step forward but I also believe that in future only those foreign players should be invited for the PSL who agree to also come and play in Pakistan when required.”
Last year, only the final of the PSL was held in the ground of Pakistan after a lot of security arrangements. PCB has succeeded to have a large portion of PSL matches arranged in Pakistan.
The final of this season’s PSL is scheduled to take place at the Karachi National Stadium on coming Sunday.
