Afridi picks two favourite batsmen from India


Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi conducting Question & Answer session on Twitter to get the fans connected with him. The skipper answered a plethora of questions regarding cricket to personal life, and revealing many unknown facts and incidents he went through.

During the question answer session, he was asked to pick his favourite batsman from India. The Pakistan stalwart picked two prominent faces of Indian cricket– Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, responding to the question.

Indian skipper virat Kohli and opener Rohit Sharma has been the biggest part of Indian cricket over the years. The run-scoring consistency make them two of the greatest modern-day batsmen. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is the only active batsman to average over 50 in all three formats. On the other hand Rohit Sharma is the only player to have smashed three double tons in ODI.

Indian skipper has gathered over 20,000 runs In a career spanning over 86 Tests, 248 ODIs and 82 T20Is. The Skipper is anticipated to break several records before he finally leaves from the game.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma had a stellar 2019 World Cup campaign where he finished as the highest run-getter of the tournament with a staggering 648 runs. Even , in the ICC events, he has scored 2,442 runs in 47 matches. across all formats.

Meanwhile, Afridi appeared in Pakistan jersey in 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is. He has retired from the international cricket but still playing franchise based tournaments. The former skipper also picked Australian pacer Pat Cummins as his favourite bowler at present. Beside this , he named Sir Viv Richards as his favourite batsman of all-time. When he was asked to name the batsmen he enjoyed bowling against the most, the Pakistan international took names of West Indies legend Brian Lara and South African stalwart AB de Villiers.
