Afridi reacts on threats to Dhoni’s daughter

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi opined out his views over the rape threat to MS Dhoni’s 5-year old daughter Ziva Dhoni.

Things are not good with the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings this year. The franchise led by MS Dhoni is having a really bad time in the United Arab Emirates. Chennai Super Kings have won only two games out of the seven games they played so far. The bad form of the entire team has become a huge concern for the fans.

Apart from the onfield things, off the field also Chennai Super Kings players are facing some heat from fans following their poor show in the field. Some fans are also showing more than a dissent behavior while criticizing the bad performance of players.

It went really bad after Chennai Super Kings’ defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni and right-handed batsman Kedar Jadhav faced a lot following the match, even personal abuses. On such a note, MS Dhoni’s five-year-old daughter Ziva Dhoni received a rape threat from a fan.

The incident really shocked the people around the game and many condemned the issue. Subsequently, the local police have identified the person and took the necessary legal actions. Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi criticized the incident and termed MS Dhoni doesn’t deserve these kinds of treatment for what he had done for the country.

“I don’t know what sort of threats were directed at MS Dhoni & his family but it’s not right & shouldn’t happen. Dhoni’s the person who has taken Indian cricket to new heights. He’s taken junior & senior players along this journey & doesn’t deserve such treatment,” the former cricketer quoted.
