Afridi reveals why he failed to score against India in World Cup matches
There has always been an intense rivalry between India and Pakistan in the game of cricket. However, Pakistan haven’t raised their bar to pose a threat to India, especially in the major events. On the other hand, India always came out on top much to Pakistan’s annoyance and that has been the case so far,
In fact, the two arch-rivals have not played a bilateral series since Pakistan toured India for two T20 Internationals and three ODIs from December 2012 to January 2013. Since then, the two teams have only crossed swords with each other in the major cricket events like the World Cup, T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy and Asia Cup.
Meanwhile, one of the Pakistani fans asked Shahid Afridi as to why he struggled against India in World Cup matches. The tweet reads: “Shahid Bhai asking respectfully, what do u think was the reason behind your poor performance against India in WC?,U scored just 56 runs in 5 matches and just picked up 1 wkt in total. #AskAfridi”

“I think Indian team was lucky ?,” Shahid Afridi wrote on Twitter.
The former Pakistan skipper and all-rounder Shahid Afridi added that the “Indian team was lucky”. In four 50-over World Cup matches, Shahid Afridi struggled to make an impact in all the four matches as he chipped in with 6, 9, 19, and 22 against India.
As for the T20 World Cup is concerned, his scores are really bad. Afridi’s scores in three matches against India in the shortest format is 0, 8, and 8.
