Mumbai Indians star cricketer Suryakumar Yadav has been on the receiving end of trolls online after he liked a controversial meme trolling Team India captain Virat Kohli. Cricket fans have the habit of making memes depending on the circumstances.

Recently, a user posted a meme praising Rohit Sharma, depicting him as the original captain whereas Virat Kohli was shown as the paper captain. The meme started doing the rounds on social media especially after Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to five IPL honours.

On the other hand, RCB captain Virat Kohli is yet to lead his team to a trophy. With Kohli failing to win trophies, majority of Indians fans reckon that he should retire as Indian captain. Many think that Rohit is the ideal captain to lead Team India.

The meme was showing exactly the same. Suryakumar who saw this meme on Twitter had liked it. After some time, the cricketer himself unliked the tweet. However, the users took notice of Surya’s Twitter activity and started targeting him online with a lot of hate messages. After being subjected to hate and criticism online, SKY commented on Kohli’s latest post to smoothen things.

Just a day after the heated incident online, Surya tried to deal with the situation in the best way possible. His recent activity on Twitter must have surely calmed down Kohli’s fans. The Mumbai batsman had commented on Indian captain’s latest Twitter post and had expressed his happiness to see him in action soon.

Team India captain had posted a video on Twitter which showed Test practice sessions. Yadav wrote: “Energy, Sound, can’t wait to watch Domination. #theBrand.” The Mumbai star applauded Kohli a lot a long ago. He also called him ‘God’ of cricket.

Both the cricketers faced off against each other during the league stage match between RCB and MI. Kohli tried to sledge Suryakumar by coming close to him where he starred at him for a while. However, Surya held his nerves and played a fearless brand of cricket.

He scored an unbeaten 79* and helped his team beat RCB by 6 wickets. Suryakumar won the battle against Kohli. Users took to Twitter to praise the Mumbai star for his calm and composed attitude. Surya was superb throughout the season for his team. He scored 480 runs at a pretty good average of 40. He smashed four half-centuries in the season.
