With a bunch of national star cricketers and their families ornamented the occasion, Bangladesh ICC trophy winning captain Akram Khan inaugurated a brand new eatery in the capital Dhaka.

The restaurant locates in a picturesque spot beside Hatirjheel Lake in between Gulshan Police Plaza and Shooting Club. It is named ‘Cricketers’ Kitchen.’

The restaurant though started in mid October this year, has officially been announced open on Thursday night. Along with national team star cricketers, media personnel were also present in the occasion.

The entrance of the restaurant is decorated with graphic designed paper cutting of some historical and memorable moments of Bangladesh cricket.

Sketches of legendary cricketers like Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan, Sachin Tendulkar are shown beside every table corner of the restaurant.

Former captain and now Member of the Parliament Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Habibul Bashar Shumon, Khaled Masud Pilot and Athar Ali Khan made their presence in the occasion. Among present national team cricketers wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and his family, Mahmudullah Riyad along with his wife, Rubel Hossain and Taskin Ahmed were present.

Before Akram Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Imrul Kayes and Mohammad Ashraful started their own restaurants in Dhaka.
