Al-Amin Hossain cleared of illegal action

The chief of the Bowling Action Review committee Jalal Yunus said, “Test revealed no further illegality of action in Al – Amin Hossain’s bowling. He is allowed to play from the second round of the Bangladesh Cricket League.”

Al – Amin Hossain, aged 28, had been reported for illegal bowling action during the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. But after an intense phase of rehabilitation program, tests conducted on the previous Sunday at the Shere Bangla National Stadium indicated the legality of his bowling as per ICC regulations.

Jalal Yunus added, “We have provided him some instructions. We informed him that someone would be banned for a year if he will be reported twice in two consecutive years. Al – Amin acknowledged about some deviations in several of his deliveries which he corrected. I hope there will be no more further troubles occurred in his bowling in the future.”

Previously he was reported for illegal bowling action in September, 2014, during the first Test against West Indies in St. Vincent. Later a test was conducted in India cleared his action.

Al – Amin Hossain will now be allowed to play from the second round of the sixth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).
