Al-Amin Jr. to lead BCB XI

The visitors Zimbabwe will play a practice match against BCB XI in a warm-up match before the start of the only Test match on February 22. The match will start at 9:30 am on Tuesday at BKSP in Savar.

In the match, both sides will want to squeeze themselves before the main battle. However, there is more opportunity for visitors. Because most of the national team’s cricketers are busy in BCL, the practice match has been arranged with six cricketers winning the Under-19 World Cup.

Apart from the six youths, Naim Sheikh and Aminul Islam Biplob are the regular faces of the national team. Mukidul Islam, who showed great performance in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is also in the team. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is also there.

Although there lies little importance of the practice match, but it is a great opportunity for the six youngsters who won the World Cup some days ago. Naturally, they want to prove themselves capable in this match one more time before setting foot in the international arena.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the name of the captain of BCB XI for the upcoming match on Tuesday. Al-Amin Jr. will lead the team in this two-day match.
