Al-Amin ready to grab any opportunity
Pacer Al-Amin Hossain has got his rhythm back and is set to play any competitive matches. Being out of the national side for two years, Al-Amin is searching for a place in the team once again.
Al-Amin was once a regular member of the limited overs teams. He had his issues with bowling action which left him out of the selection considerations. He has been recently added to High Performance Unit.
The right-arm seamer is finding his feet in the HP team. “Getting a nice platform in HP unit has boosted my progress,” he told risingbd.com. “I can improve my bowling, fielding and fitness levels here. It’s a good chance for me. Overall, everything is going well. I’m in a good shape at the moment.”
Known as a white-ball specialist, Al-Amin has been developing his adaptation to new ball and old ball.
“I feel I’m in a better rhythm than before. I have been bowling with both new ball and old ball in the nets. I bowled with them consistently in matches as well which gave good results. I’m ready for any sort of competitive games,” he said.
Al-Amin last represented Bangladesh in 2016 World T20 in India. He is now confident enough to get his place back in the team and pounce on his chances.
“Now I’m waiting for an opportunity. I hope will soon make it count and find a place in national team or ‘A’ team,” he added.
Al-Amin had an average DPL season for Agrani Limited this year. He remained wicketless for most of the matches after correcting his action.
