Al – Amin, Shahid fined for misconduct
Pacer duo Al – Amin Hossain and Mohammad Shahid have been punished by the BPL Governing Council on the ground of breaching discipline while participating in their respective matches of the Bangladesh Premier League.
Both of them were accused of ‘voluntary physical collision on the field and unwanted behavior’. According to the section 2.2.7 of Disciplinary Conduct of Bangladesh Cricket Board, any cricketer accused and proved guilty under this section will be liable to suffer either one match suspension or pecuniary compensation of 30 to 50 thousand taka, informed by the authority of Bangladesh Cricket Board in a press release.
Taking into consideration about the ongoing season, BCB has imposed monetary compensation upon both of the accused rather than match suspension.
Barisal Bulls’ pacer Al – Amin Hossain has been fined 40 thousand taka while Sylhet Super Stars’ pacer Mohammad Shahid will have to lose 30 thousand taka.
The occurrence took place during the nail biting win of Barisal Bulls against Sylhet Super Stars where Al – Amin Hossain became the first ever bowler in the history of BPL to claim 5 wickets with a hat trick.
At the end of the Barisal Bulls’ innings, both of them incurred into verbal and physical collision which was later tamed by the match officials.
