Alok Kapali stars in huge win of Gazi Group Cricketers

Gazi Group Cricketers achieve their fourth win beating Kalabagan Cricket Academy by 8 wickets in the sixth round of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan No 3 Ground, Savar. This is the sixth consecutive loss for Kalabagan CA.

Alok Kapali 5 wicket haul

Gazi Group Cricketers captain Alok Kapali won the toss and chose to bowl first at BKSP-3. Kalabagan Cricket Academy openers Irfan Shukkur and Myshukur Rahaman added 41 runs for the first wicket. Irfan scored 21 and Myshukur scored 20. Jatin S Saxena and captain Mahmudul Hasan made 47-run partnership for the third wicket after the departure of their openers.

Jatin scored a quick 44 off 33 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Three quick wickets fell for Kalabagan CA including Jatin. Mahmudul and Nuruzzaman made a steady 51-run parnership for the sixth wicket. Mahmudul Hasan contributed 41 off 77 with 2 fours. Nuruzzaman scored 25 off 53. Captain Alok Kapali put Kalabagan CA on backfoot picking quick wickets. Gazi Group Cricketers bowled out Kalabagan Cricket Academy for 186 in 47.3 overs. Alok Kapali took a fifer for 44 runs in ten overs. Spinner Mustafizur Rahman and Saeed Anwar Junior had two wickets each.

Anamul Haque Bijoy and Shamsur Rahman Shuvo made a commanding 51-run partnership for the first wicket. Anamul got out on 29 off 34 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Shamsur and Mahedi Hasan added 67 runs for the second wicket. Mahedi contributed 39 off 56 with 2 fours and a six.

Shamsur Rahman reached to his 20th List A fifty on his 100th List A match. His and Saeed Anwar Junior’s unbeaten partnership of 69 runs led Gazi Group Cricketers to the win. Saeed Junior scored 18*. Shamsur made unbeaten 95 off 120 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Gazi Group Cricketers won by 8 wickets with 58 balls remaining. Jatin S Saxena and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are the wicket-takers for Kalabagan Cricket Academy.
