Anamul smashes unbeaten 172 for Khulna


Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan Papon reportedly backed Anamul Haque Bijoy in the squad for the forthcoming series against South Africa but selectors could not put their trust upon him hence Anamul Haque is out of the team despite repeated failure of Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar. In the ongoing four day National Cricket League match against Rangpur, Anamul produced a destructive knock of 172 runs and still running unbeaten at stumps of the third day.

Anamul Haque was not out at 105 runs at the end of the second day and added 67 more runs in the rain affected third day of the match.

Opener Rabiul Islam Robi also hammered a hundred for Khulna; he lost his wicket scoring 100 runs.

In reply of Rangpur Division’s immense first innings total of 471 runs, Khulna scored 342 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of the third day of the match.
