Another all ten wickets claim in an innings
Cricket has just seen another ten-wicket haul in an innings; on Saturday, a medium pacer of India, Varun Soragamvi has scaled ten wickets in an innings during KSCA third division cricket league match.
Playing for his side Loyd Foundation against Guledagudda cricket team, Varun bagged all ten wickets of the opponent, making an extraordinary figure of 10 for 36 runs. Guledagudda was bundled out scoring 70 runs in 15 overs.
Among all ten wickets, Varun clean bowled five of them, trapped two of them in front of the wickets and other three were caught by the fielders.
Varun Soragamvi’s marvel kept continued till after his exquisite bowling display. While his team Loyd Foundation start chasing the paltry 70 runs, the dynamic all-rounder hammered 58 runs in 20 deliveries where he hit 10 shots of fours along with two for maximums.
Varun Soragamvi is also a brilliant student who is pursuing an Engineering degree at BMS College in Bangalore.
Former Indian master leggy Anil Kumble achieved the rare feat of taking all ten wickets in Test cricket back in 1992 against Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.
The very first instance of a ten-wicket haul was done by English bowler Jim Laker against Australia.
