Former national team captain Mohammad Ashraful tests positive for Covid-19 while playing in the National Cricket League (NCL). In routine-wise coronavirus checking for NCL, he’s been tasted coronavirus positive on Sunday (March 28).

It’s been a year since the whole world has started to fight against a common enemy called Covid-19. It has made a big impact in many fields and the same with cricket too.

There are mane cricketers tested positive for the virus, since the global outbreak. The latest victim of the virus is Bangladesh right-handed batsman Ashraful.

The 22nd edition of the NCL started on March 22. At the end of the first round, the teams are getting ready for the second round. The second round will start on March 29.

So before the start of the next round, all the players were tested again for coronavirus. The result of Ashraful’s sample was positive. On Sunday (March 28) at noon, Ashraful himself was surprised to see the results of the latest sample test.

Although Ashraful claims that he has no symptoms and he is also physically healthy. So, the second test will be conducted tomorrow to be sure about it. Samples will be taken for the second time tonight. If it is negative, there will be no obstacle for Ashraful to take part in the second round match for Barishal Division in NCL.

Ashraful’s team Barishal will face Rajshahi Division in the second round match of National Cricket League (NCL).
