Ashwin reacts to controversy over Yuvi’s tweet

In the process, the veteran spinner went on to become the fastest Indian and second fastest cricketer to take 400 wickets in Test cricket. He accomplished the feat in 77 innings. Meanwhile, former cricketers took Twitter to praise Ravi Ashwin for his fantastic cricketer.

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh had posted a cryptic tweet, in what felt like it was a dig at Ravi Ashwin. However, the Tamil Nadu born cricketer. Yuvraj Singh’s tweet go well with the majority of the fans as they hit out at the 2011 World Cup hero for his tweet.

“Finished in 2 days Not sure if that’s good for test cricket! If @anilkumble1074 and @harbhajan_singh would have bowled on these kinds of wickets, they would be sitting on a 1000 and 800? After Yuvi’s post went viral, Ashwin posted 2 cryptic tweets which left the fans bewildered. Ashwin’s response perfectly like a sharp response to Yuvi’s post. However, in the latest development,  Ashwin cleared the sound and said that he only wanted to chip in his point of view and there was indeed nothing more to it.

Ravi Ashwin further added that in this present state of mind, the off-spinner didn’t find any issue with Yuvraj’s tweet and has the utmost respect for the champion.

“The reason behind my tweets was not regarding anyone in particular. When I read Yuvi paa’s tweet, I did not get affected, I did not find that tweet trying to tell us something. It just felt like a plain tweet. For me, the state of mind I am in right now, I did not find it wrong.

“I know Yuvi paa for a long time, I have the utmost respect for him. Some people amongst us tend to buy what people sell, I do not know the reason why certain people try to sell certain things, but it is clear it’s just a perception of what happens,” the 34-year-old was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
