The southpaw from Chittagong is one of the best openers in world cricket today and will be the premier batsman in Bangladesh team. He has been in great form since 2015 Cricket World Cup and scored a considerable amount of runs in all three formats of the game. In the recently concluded three-match ODI series against West Indies, Tamim Iqbal scored 287 runs at an outstanding average of 143.5.

#2 Mohammad Mithun

Mohammad Mithun is most likely to be the opening partner of Tamim Iqbal in the Asia Cup 2018. The right-handed batsman had showcased brilliant batting performance during Bangladesh ‘A’ team’s tour of Ireland and then earned a national team call after a long time. The upcoming tournament will be a great opportunity for him to seal a permanent place in the Bangladesh ODI team and undoubtedly he will try to do that.

#3 Mominul Haque

The southpaw has already proved himself as one the best Test batsmen of the country. He never received enough chances in the Bangladesh limited-overs sides and even in the present occasion, his opportunity came after a member of the squad injured himself during the practice session ahead of the Asia Cup. However, it is now a perfect opportunity for him to show his batting ability in the shorter format too.

#4 Shakib Al Hasan Shakib leaves for USA
There is nothing new to tell about Shakib Al Hasan as he has already established himself as the No.1 all-rounder for Bangladesh in all formats of the game. He is not only the best all-rounder in the history of the country’s cricket but also considered as one of the finest all-rounders the game has ever produced. Bangladesh will have a high expectation on him because terms get a lot easier for the team when he performs well.

#5 Mahmudullah Riyad Mahmudullah: One of my best innings

Known as the finisher for Bangladesh, Mahmudullah won quite a few games for his team in the recent past with his cool-headed batting in the pressure situations. He was the main man behind Bangladesh’s playing in the Nidahas Trophy final as his 18-ball unbeaten 43 runs’ match-winning knock in the group stage match against Sri Lanka brought Bangladesh to the final.

#6 Mushfiqur Rahim

One of the finest batsmen of cricket today, Mushfiqur will be having the responsibility of handling the Bangladesh middle order in the Asia Cup 2018. He scored 110 runs in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against West Indies. In the first match, he played a blistering 30 runs knock off just 11 balls with the help three fours and two sixes.

#7 Ariful Haque Ariful tries to play the bouncer.

Ariful Haque will be fighting for a place in the playing XI with Mosaddek Hossain. However, his current form will make his place in the playing XI ahead of Mosaddek. He was brilliant in the last season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as he had been very consistent with the bat in the lower-middle order and won quite a few matches single-handedly for Khulna Titans.

#8 Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan has been a regular member of Bangladesh Test team since his debut against England back in 2016. Although he is yet to be consistent in the ODI, he has all the potentials to do well in the limited overs as well.

#9 Mashrafe Bin Mortaza

Mashrafe was very economical in the recently concluded ODI series against West Indies and also picked up seven wickets in the three-match series. Apart from bowling, the Bangladesh skipper will have the responsibility to lead the team from the front in the Asia Cup 2018, as he always does.

#10 Rubel HossainRubel's surgery today

Rubel Hossain is one of the most improved bowlers who can bowl with constant 140+ clicks and lethal yorkers. He is one of the pillars of the current Bangladesh bowling attack and will be key in Bangladesh’s Asia Cup mission.

#11 Mustafizur RahmanMustafiz dims Mashrafe to be third-highest wicket-taker in T20Is

Fizz has cemented his place in the Bangladesh limited-overs side with fairly consistent performance since his debut set aside the unfortunate injury troubled periods. Known as cutter master, the left-handed pacer picked up seven wickets in the ODI series against West Indies a few days back.
