Athar Ali Khan takes part in IPL 2019 commentary

Athar Ali Khan, popular Bangladeshi commentator has joined in the commentary box of Indian Premier League 2019.

The ‘Voice of Bangladesh’ – Athar Ali Khan has extended his horizon of commentary being a part of the IPL show this year.

Notably this is all different for Athar Ali and Bangladeshi spectators because the 57 year old is voicing in Bangla rather than his usual English commentary during IPL.

Following the previous years, Indian Bangla channel Jalsha Movies is telecasting IPL matches live. Upon an invitation from Jalsha Movies, Athar Ali joined in their commentary box.

Born in 1962, former cricketers Athar Ali Khan represented Bangladesh in international cricket during mid-eighties as a batsman who also could turn the wrist a while as well.

He started working as a commentator soon after retiring from cricket. Athar Ali Khan’s voice echoed through the air during many historical events and wins of Bangladesh.

He was also engaged in some important roles in Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

In the opening match of this year’s Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets.

Batting first, RCB were bundled out scoring a paltry 70 runs. In reply, CSK batted cautiously through eighteenth over to eclipse the victory target.
