Australia not happy in Bangladesh's upsurge : Pilot

Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mashud Pilot has slammed Cricket Australia (CA) following it’s refusal to send the Under-19 team to Bangladesh for the forthcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup over terror threat.

Terming CA’s claim baseless, a totally disgusted Pilot said, “I don’t get any clue why they are doing this. I don’t know they are doing this out of which intention. But their move may cause threat to the progress of Bangladesh cricket. Some other countries might also follow their path. Overall the entire situation could spin out of control.”

Pilot further added, “I think they (Australia) are not happy with the upsurge Bangladesh have made of late at the premise of world cricket. If they really had any real concerns over safety in Bangladesh, they should have submitted the proofs to ICC.

“On the other hand, ICC also should have been more efficient in dealing with this issue. A few days earlier, FIFA forced Australian Football Team to come here in Bangladesh. But surprisingly, ICC has remained silent on the recent incident,” signed off the former wicketkeeper-batsman.
