Regarding the suspension of Aussie’s visit, BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said,

“It is disappointing for players and fans on both sides. However, considering the current global situation and the state of emergency health due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), BCB and CA have agreed that postponing the visit is the most sensible and practical decision.

“We hope the situation will improve soon and we will be able to host this series at a convenient time in the near future. BCB will continue to work closely with CA for that purpose.”

Being under the ICC World Test Championship, the series has been postponed but not canceled. The two boards will re-negotiate and fix the new schedule in the future.
