Australia team-mates react hilariously to Fox Cricket’s predicted 2023 World Cup squad

With no cricket all around due to the coronavirus pandemic, It has been a quite off-time for the cricketers and for the broadcasting channels as well. But Fox Cricket came up with an interesting idea as they posted their predicted playing XI of Australia for the 2023 World Cup.

Fox Cricket surprisingly snubbed Australia’s current captain and opening batsman Aaron Finch and his team-mates didn’t miss the chance to take a dig at the channel.

The first one to tweet about this was Finch’s opening partner David Warner, who termed the news as fake jokingly and asked Finch if he is retiring from the limited-overs format.

In reply to it, Finch also expressed his shock after seeing the predicted XI where he lost his place to rookie BBL star Josh Phillippe. In fact, the Australian star batters Alyssa Healy and Chris Lynn also reacted to the post. They were backed by domestic stars Trent Copeland and Cameron Boyce.

Earlier, Finch expressed his intentions clearly that he wants to play in the 2023 World Cup which is likely to be his last tournament in international cricket.

“I certainly did notice that. That’s unfortunate, Finch said of the snub. Davey (Warner) is still there as well. I’ve definitely got goals to be there in 2023. I think that’s my end date in international cricket,” he said.
