Australia trash Pakistan to clinch the T20I series
Australia clinched an easy win in the third T20I and win the series 2-0 against Pakistan at the Perth Stadium.
Pakistan’s struggling form in the shortest format of the game continues as they suffered yet another embarrassing defeat to lose the series 2-0 against the hosts Australia. They were put in to bat first and could only manage to post 106 with the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs.
In reply to an easy chase, Australia didn’t suffer a bit and won the game comfortably by 10 wickets courtesy of a stunning show from David Warner (48*) and skipper Aaron Finch (52*).
Earlier, Pakistan were in trouble right from the word go after Mitchell Starc removed the man in top form Babar Azam. He then clean bowled Mohammad Rizwan in the next delivery to call for further trouble.
The visitors couldn’t repair the early damage and kept losing wickets in the middle overs. Kane Richardson, who picked up three wickets was the most successful of them all while Sean Abbot picked up two wickets and Ashton Agar chipped in with one wicket.
It was yet another poor day for the Pakistan bowlers as they failed to pick up any wicket. Australia finished things off in just 11.5 overs and remain unbeaten in 2019 in the shortest format of the game.
