Australian media wash Smith and his side

australia slip to no.5 after bangladesh defeatThere have been recent misunderstandings between the Cricket Australia and their players about the remunerations they get. Australia ‘A’ team’s South Africa tour has been postponed along with that there were confusions about the ongoing Bangladesh Series and also the Ashes.

The salaries of the Aussie cricketers have been increased several days back. This does not mean that they will improve their performance in a glance, whereas the Australian team lost to Bangladesh on the first Test match by 20 runs.

This is the maiden Test defeat of Australia against Bangladesh. Last time they came head to head on a Test match which was on 2006 in Fatullah where the Aussies almost survived a defeat to the hosts.

But this time in Dhaka there was no mercy as they fell short of 20 runs and ended up losing.

To be noted, the Aussie media fired their team after the loss. They stated the team as ‘Getting more than what they deserve; counseling them is so tough.’

The Australian Captain Steven Smith and opener David Warner earn the most. Comparing both sides’ pay scale, Aussie media revealed the above mentioned cricketers’ earning is almost 2 million Australian Dollar whereas Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim earns around 37 thousand Australian Dollar each.

It is clear that despite the salary they get their performance did not reach up to the mark according to the Australian media.

In an article on Melbourne Herald-sun they said, “Whatever happened in Dhaka is a matter of shock to the cricket world whereas it is a shame of the side.”

The Australian said, “On an average the 11 cricketers get 13 lac and 60 thousand dollars and this side has faced the first defeat to Bangladesh on Test. Their weekly income is around 26 thousand Australian dollars. On the other hand the Bangladeshi players get just 500 dollars per week!”
