Babar Azam breaks another record in international cricket
Pakistan limited-overs captain Babar Azam has made a habit of breaking records and made it for his own nowadays. The no. 1 T20 batsman in the world reached another milestone in the second T20 match against Australia on Tuesday at Canberra.
Babar Azam has been at the peak of the form. The new captain of the Pakistan cricket team had set a record for Fifty in the second T20 against the Aussies. He surpassed former captain Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal to make the new record of most fifty for Pakistan in T20 international.
Babar had made maximum 12 Fifties for Pakistan in the T20 format. He had played 35 T20 matches and scored 1 thousand 399 runs with 12 fifties averaging 51.81.
Mohammad Hafeez is in second position on this list. Former Pakistan captain Hafeez scored 1,908 runs in 89 T20Is with ten fifties. Hafeez is in second position also in scoring runs among Pakistani batsmen in T20. Former captain Shoaib Malik has the highest run with 2,251 runs.
Umar Akmal has the third highest fifties for Pakistan in T20Is. He played 84 matches and scored 1,690 runs with 8 fifties.
However, Babar had been in outstanding form in the ongoing T20 series against Australia. He smashed back to back half-centuries in the first two matches of three-match T20 series. But his side are currently behind in the series by 1-0. The last match of the series will take place on Friday, November 8 at Perth.
