Wicket keeper batsman Litton Kumar Das opened the innings with Imrul Kayes; both were unbeaten scoring 2 and 4 runs respectively.

Earlier in the day, Cricket South Africa XI scored 313 runs in reply to Bangladesh first innings total of 307/6 (dec) gaining 6 runs lead.

The visiting team bowlers showed equally well implemented performance. Mustafizur Rahman, Subashis Roy, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam all captured 1 wicket each while Shafiul Islam claimed 2.

For CSA XI, S Von Berg scored highest 62 runs and Zubayr Hamza made 60.

Bangladesh’s first innings was adorned by three half centuries. Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman scored 68, 63 and 58 respectively.

The first Test against South Africa will kick off on 28th of this month before the second Test is scheduled to take place on 6th of October.
