Bangladesh A team completed their whitewash mission against Zimbabwe A in style, as they picked up a grand victory of 122 runs over the hosts at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.
Once again sent to bat first, with leadind the series 2-0, Bangladesh A posted a challenging total of 286 for the loss of 8 wickets, courtesy to the collective effort from the batsmen, which eventually proved to be too much for the hosts, as they were skittled out in just 164 runs.
Rony Talukdar, who was flop in the previous two matches, came back to form in this match with smacking a magnificent innings of 77 runs. His innings saw 6 fours along with 3 boundary-clearing shots. In form Mohammad Mithun shone out again, as 60 runs came from his willow. Mahmudul Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain also chipped in with some minor yet effective contributions. They scored 31 and 21 respectively.
Defending a total of 286, Bangladesh A bowlers proved their worth right from the beginning. Bangladesh’s Test specialist bowler Mohammad Shahid was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with the figure 7.3-2-13-13. Shuvagata and Mahmudul shared four wickets between themselves.
