Bangladesh A squad for Sri Lanka tour announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced the squad of Bangladesh A for the tour of Sri Lanka. Mehidy Hasan and Soumya Sarkar have been added.

Bangladesh A are set to play two four-day matches and three ODIs against Sri Lanka at their den, starting from 23rd September. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad on Monday and the team is set to travel to Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

Mominul Haque will lead Bangladesh A while Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan, who were part of the national team a few days have also been included. Mehidy played the only Test against Afghanistan while Soumya played the first T20Is of the tri-nation series. The duo has failed to perform recently and has been sent with Bangladesh A team to find their form back.

Among others opener Sadman Islam and pacer bowler Ebadot Hossain are also travelling. National team outcast cricketers Anamul Haque Bijoy, Nurul Hasan Shohan and left hander spinner Sunjamul Islam also accompanied others.

Saif Hasan and Nazmul Hossain Shanto will join with the ‘A’ team in Sri Lanka after completing Tri-nation series in India.
