The Bangladesh team is in a miserable phase. It has disappointed former Pakistani express bowler Shoaib Akhtar.

The Tigers had a forgettable outing in the latest T20 World Cup. Bangladesh couldn’t win any match in the Super 12 round. Team’s batting was horrendous. Bangladesh were bowled out below 100 runs twice in a row – against Australia & South Africa.
After the nightmare in the global event. Bangladesh eyed to comeback in the home series against visiting Pakistan. But, failed to get on the mark in the Three Match T20 Series. Put a decent fight in the last match of the series. Ended on a losing side though.
Bangladesh were expected to perform better in the ICC event. Entire team looked out of sorts. Many catches were dropped in the crucial time of the match. Batters failed to deliver goods consistently. World’s fastest bowler fell for the tigers.
He spoke about them on his youtube channel, “Bangladesh won’t win any match in the Super 12. It doesn’t look good to me. They were one of the title contenders. Even in the next world cup, they would be a potential trophy winner, I reckon. But, the way they played cricket in the world cup, how they lost 3-0 in the home series against pakistan. I was hurt".
"It seems to me Bangladesh cricket is going downhill, it’s not good at all.” -Shoaib told.
Like many other analysts, Shoaib has raised questions about the wicket.
“There is no benefit playing this kind of wicket. Bangladesh’s batting, bowling won’t improve if they don’t play in the bouncy wickets. How many times will they win being dependent on spin bowling?” – He added.
Pindi Express has urged to improve the scenario. Everyone has to realize those issues.
“World cricket requires Bangladesh. They should develop their infrastructure, bring up changes. How everything is operated, it shouldn’t be continued.”– Shoaib concludes.
Earlier, Bangladesh won back to back T20 series at home prior to the T20 WC in UAE. Which provoked the fans to dream big for the world cup. Bangladesh lost the 1st match to Scotland, then beat Oman & Papua New Guinea to secure a spot in the Super 12 phase.
