ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup is going on in South Africa, where Bangladesh are also participating. 4 cricketers who are in the Bangladesh team in the U19 Women's World Cup have got a place in the senior T20 World Cup team. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Saturday (January 21) evening.
Marufa Akter, Dilara Akter, Shorna Akter, and captain Disha Biswas, who are part of the Youth World Cup squad, have got a place in the announced squad. Like the Women's World Cup, this World Cup is also hosted by South Africa. As a result, these four cricketers will not have to return home after completing the U19 World Cup.
As usual, Nigar Sultana is leading the senior team. Bangladesh will play its first match in Group 'A' of the World Cup on February 12, against Sri Lanka. On February 14, their opponent is Australia.
