At the end of the day, Sabbir Rahman opined Bangladesh, if not in a strong position, is in a good arch after first 90 overs of play. The Tigers might have been in a better position had Sabbir not lost his wicket indifferently a few overs before the stumps.

“We had a good first day though we have lost too many wickets. It’s pleasing to end the day at 253. We will try to do better in the next day,” Sabbir said.

“We have lost 6 wickets but skipper Mushfiqur and with him Nasir is there in the crease. We could even make a big score in the first innings,” he added.

When he was asked about a safe score in Chittagong wicket, Sabbir replied in negative notion, “I cannot say what would be a safe score here. All eleven members of our team can bat. They will try their best in coming sessions.”
